The Looks

May Jasmin thoughtfully created two looks for me that was a perfect match with both my gowns and setting – one was a fresh organic look for my shoot at Mandala Spa & Resorts and the other was a elegant bridal look for the shoot at Nami Resorts and Boracay beach.

First Session at Mandala Spa & Resort Villas – Fresh, Organic & Natural

Photo Credits: Love Train Studios For my first look, May Jasmin wanted it to look fresh to match the morning sun. She used a brown palette to create an organic look that would be complement Mandala Spa‘s relaxing ambiance and forest-like nature landscape. As I had on a dusty grey gown from The Louvre Bridal, May Jasmin harmonized it with a natural look so as not to overpower the delicate nature of the gown.

Photo Credits: Love Train Studios For my hair, she braided my hair and did up gorgeous curls that were swept to the side. My entire look came together very nicely, and made me look very radiant! I really liked May Jasmin‘s artistic flair in combining the different elements together. Photo Credits: Love Train Studios Also, as I had a second theme for my first shoot, which was an “Everyday Life” theme I needed to make the transition into my casual attire for it. May Jasmin ensured that the natural look she did up for me also matched the second theme. Photo Credits: Love Train Studios

Second Session at Nami Resorts & Boracay Beach – An Elegant Bridal Look

Photo Credits: Love Train Studios For my second shoot, it was a sunset shoot at Boracay beach. May Jasmin conceptualized a bridal look for me to match my lace train gown and veil. In addition, she created a smokier finish so my features would still be defined despite the dimmer sunset lighting. She does a lot of work on the eyes, as your eyes can create the biggest spark in photos! For my hair, she did an up do and dressed the veil on my hair. Photo Credits: Love Train Studios The look May Jasmin created for my second shoot gave me a beautiful bridal glow – one that every bride-to-be dreams of! She also helped to prim Matt up to look even more dashing than before!

On your wedding day, you are going to be very busy and you want to spend every hour possible with your guests. Makeup and hairstyling sessions are about 2 hours long, but as May Jasmin is very experienced in her trade, she can achieve the same result in just half of that time! That’s really efficient, and it also means you get an hour more to spend with your loved ones and enjoying yourself on your big day – which trust me, is extremely precious! Even for your wedding photoshoot, you are going to be very rushed trying to catch the golden hours of sunrise and before sunset. So having a skilled and efficient HMUA is key to a successful shoot that gives you enough time to breathe. On top of that, using tools and products of only high quality and standard, May Jasmin ensures that your makeup is not only flawless, but can stay on an extended period of time and also last outdoors. The entire experience with May was never been a dull moment because she is really friendly and personable. It’s a huge bonus to be able to feel at ease with your HMUA, as you will feel comfortable and relaxed during your makeup sessions, which is a great time to recharge for your next march-in or shoot session. If possible, do meet up with your HMUA a few days before for a trial or a chat to discuss about your looks for the day!

Very Professional & Patient with Clients

Our first shoot overran but May Jasmin patiently waited for over 1 hour for us to arrive back at the hotel. When we returned to the hotel, I was very hot and bothered by the rush, but she was very patient with me. She got me to calm my nerves by getting me to wash up, following which she started on blowing my hair dry and setting my makeup. Because we were again in a rush to catch the sunset hours for our second shoot, she got it done in less than an hour! Such professionalism is really hard to come across, and was very much appreciated! My shoot experience in Boracay was very pleasant thanks to May Jasmin. She not only made me look amazing, but was very accommodating and understanding to my packed schedule. Am thankful to have found someone as professional and talented as May Jasmin to take charge of my HMU for my Boracay shoot!
