9 Luxurious Experiences at Six Senses Uluwatu, Bali
1. Be treated to the most mesmerising view in Bali
Perched on the southernmost tip of the island, set atop the renowned limestone cliff of Uluwatu, Six Senses Uluwatu, Bali offers breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean, creating a serene and timeless escape. If you know the famous Uluwatu temple and the impeccable view that comes with it, you will be happy to know how Six Senses Uluwatu, Bali also shares the same view as the temple. Just imagine how breathtaking that view is!
Six Senses Uluwatu, Bali offers a captivating retreat with its 28 sky villas, 62 one-bedroom villas, and seven two-bedroom villas, as well as The Retreat and the Presidential Villa. And the best part is that you can enjoy breathtaking views of the ocean from wherever you stay! Furthermore, the lush landscaping and natural vegetation provide a sense of privacy and seclusion, making each villa a personal haven. In fact, Six Senses is Bali’s only green resort certified by the World Green Council!
2. Unwind and relax by the most gorgeous infinity pool
Now, the best way to enjoy those magnificent views of the Indian Ocean is by staying at Six Senses Uluwatu, Bali’s massive main infinity pool. The pool is situated at the top of the cliff, so it is perfect for just soaking in the view and taking amazing photos. We had lots of fun taking photos here! Definitely one of the highlights of staying at the resort.
The main pool is quite huge so it is great for swimming laps too. Our little ones, Ally and Aaron, enjoyed swimming freely in the pool, although there is also a dedicated wading pool designed especially for kids. Additionally, Six Senses Uluwatu, Bali also offers a relaxation pool, another perfect spot to unwind while taking in the breathtaking views.
3. Find rest and serenity at a luxurious clifftop villa
As mentioned above, you can get panoramic views of the Indian Ocean from all categories. But for families visiting Six Senses Uluwatu, Bali, the One-Bedroom Cliff Pool Villa is an ideal choice. These Balinese-style cliff-top villas offer uninterrupted ocean vistas from your private deck or bathtub. Inspired by traditional Balinese architecture, each villa welcomes you with a small temple at the entrance. A really nice touch!
While boasting only one bedroom, we must say that this villa is incredibly spacious. The bedroom and living areas are so expansive that you can probably even add another bed in there. Even the bathroom is massive, which comes complete with an indoor and outdoor rainshower, a deep soaking bathtub, and an automated toilet bowl to top it all off.
We also appreciate how Six Senses Uluwatu, Bali’s every guestroom features handmade mattresses by Naturalmat, complemented by Hanse organic pillows and duvets. High-quality Beaumont & Brown organic cotton sheets, along with Madison Collection towels and bathrobes, also add to the luxurious comfort. We had the best sleep!
Moreover, the villa features a 228 sq. ft. outdoor pool, offering spectacular views of the Indian Ocean. This comes in handy for those travelling with kids, as they can get to swim from the comforts of your own villa any time of the day. The outdoor pool deck is great for unwinding too as you can feel the ocean breeze while sunbathing on the daybed or while enjoying your favourite book.
4. Fully experience the Balinese food culture at Six Senses Uluwatu, Bali
Six Senses Uluwatu, Bali celebrates Balinese food culture in its exceptional restaurants. The restaurants offer an eclectic range of dishes, taking you on a culinary journey with local ingredients sourced from the resort’s own garden. From breakfast to dinner, the Eat With Six Senses philosophy ensures you can indulge in delicious meals without guilt, enjoying wholesome and satisfying dining experiences.
Breakfast
Six Senses Uluwatu, Bali treats you to a lovely breakfast every morning. There is a mix of buffet breakfast spread and a la carte menu where you can choose your favourites. For us, the main highlight of the buffet spread was the bread corner. Their fresh bakes are simply irresistible (you can even add fresh honey to them!), especially their croissants which are honestly one of the best ones we have tried from all resorts in Bali. And be sure to indulge in their Danish treats as well! While they may look enticing in photos, their taste surpasses all expectations.
Fresh bakes and fresh honey selection at breakfast
We were also particularly enchanted by the local dishes, such as the heavenly Jukut Urapp, the fresh Bakso Ayam, and the spicy Shakshouka. The flexibility to customise our meals was also greatly appreciated, especially for Joce, who needed her Shakshouka eggs to be fully cooked. The service staff were exceptionally kind, even accommodating special requests like serving strawberries, avocado, papaya, and apples separately for our children. They even allowed us to order things off the ala carte menu! The personalised and attentive service from the staff made our mornings truly special.

Rocka
Lunch and dinner at Rocka restaurant were also exceptional experiences. They feature an ever-changing menu based on seasons, with dishes inspired by the flavours of Europe, Asia, and Bali. We highly recommend indulging in the lobster (really fresh and decadent!), Buntut Bakar (oxtail), pork ribs, and tiger prawns as your main course. Their Sate Liit that we had as appetisers was also great too!
Exceptional food aside, we also appreciated the great service we experienced at Rocka. Tu Bob, one of their incredibly friendly and helpful staff members, went above and beyond to accommodate us when our kids were feeling hot. Tu Bob kindly escorted us to the cooler library bar, ensuring our comfort. We were also impressed by Nadhief from lunch and Esti from dinner, who both served us really well. They were very professional yet warm, friendly, and helpful.
Watu Steakhouse
Six Senses Uluwatu, Bali is also home to Watu Steakhouse – the culinary heart of the resort. Here, guests are treated to a diverse menu featuring premium steaks, Japanese delicacies, as well as other international dishes. The restaurant’s inviting bistro chic ambiance and open kitchen concept create an immersive dining experience, so you can watch them prepare the food right in front of you. We highly recommend the Kiwami Wagyu Rib Eye MB9+. We tried it once, and boy, it was so melt-in-your-mouth delicious!
5. Treat yourselves to the panoramic view at sunset at The Cliff Bar
For drinks, head over to the The Cliff Bar and enjoy signature favourites while overlooking stunning views of the Indian Ocean. Be sure to try their house kombucha, purpleroot snow, chipotle margarita or banana-colada! While you are there, you can also explore their menu of freshly-baked traditional pizzas and homemade pastas for a culinary experience unlike any other.
6. Discover Balinese cooking secrets at the cooking studio
Since you are in Bali after all, you must not miss out on learning how to cook their amazing cuisine on your own. Six Senses Uluwatu, Bali offers Balinese cooking lessons at The Cooking Studio. 7. Take a breather at Six Senses Balinese Spa
At Six Senses Uluwatu, Bali, embark on a journey of relaxation and rejuvenation in their tranquil spa, where ancient Balinese healing traditions meet contemporary wellness practices. You can try the traditional Balinese Boreh Wrap, which uses the power of local ingredients such as clove, turmeric, and nutmeg to warm the body, soothe tired muscles, and alleviate joint discomfort while promoting circulation and detoxification. Another must-try treatment is the Lulur Body Scrub with Yogurt Splash and Herbal Bath—a locally-inspired ritual featuring ground rice and aromatic spices to exfoliate and revitalise tired skin. Complete with a soothing yoghurt application and herbal bath, this indulgent treatment leaves your skin feeling luxuriously soft and supple.
Furthermore, the spa boasts 10 treatment rooms, a nail bar, retail and relaxation areas, as well as communal wet facilities including a jet pool and experience shower. For the ultimate wellness, you may also opt to join a regular yoga class in a serene setting at the spa’s outdoor Yoga and Meditation pavilion.
8. Allow your kids to embark on a fun adventure at Six Senses Uluwatu, Bali
Vacations provide an excellent opportunity for our little ones to step away from their usual life and explore the world around them while having fun. At Six Senses Uluwatu, Bali, the Grow With Six Senses philosophy integrates the six dimensions of wellnes into their kid-friendly amenities: social, environmental, physical, spiritual, emotional, and intellectual. This approach encourages kids to reconnect with nature and acquire valuable life skills through play. That said, the resort ensures that your kids will go on an adventure too by offering unique and relaxing activities like organic gardening, cooking lessons, simple meditation and singing bowl workshops and creative activities like hair braiding and paper making. To make it even more exciting, the kids will receive a personal Six Senses password, which will be stamped as they journey through each unique activity.
Six Senses UIuwatu, Bali also boasts a Kids Club, a paradise of fun and creativity for the little ones. The Kids Club had a day table where you and your little one could draw some pictures or build blocks, at the same time, providing you enough time to breathe after all the fun and play. The Kids Club also had a mini pool table, a giant snakes and ladders game mat, cute little teepee tents and a whole lot more. Our little ones surely had lots of fun at the Kids Club, though they still preferred their outdoor time at the pool.
Exploring the Kids Club
9. Experience a family vacation like no other
In addition to the Kids Club, Six Senses Uluwatu, Bali features plenty of activities for all families to enjoy. They even have free ice cream from 12 to 4pm, which we enjoyed every day of our stay!
Six Senses Uluwatu, Bali is also the only resort in Bali with Cinema Paradiso, which offers cinema under the stars on the cliff while facing the ocean. You will be seated on the best seats in the house – sun loungers – and be treated to free-flowing popcorn every night. Really perfect for family bonding times!
Six Senses Uluwatu, Bali also has its own on-site organic garden, and Earth Lab which you and your family can visit. You will never run out of things to do here. Even walking around feels exciting as you can meet resident macaques just casually lounging around. We actually met a group of almost 20 macaques, which was quite amazing for our kiddos to see. But remember to keep distance from them and only admire them from afar!
All in all, we had an amazing stay with Six Senses Uluwatu, Bali. With the impeccable views from every corner of the resort to the amazing service and all sorts of activities that we got to experience with the kids, it was truly a delightful experience. We cannot wait to get back and relive all this wonderful experiences all over again!
